Elite RC Productions Presents - The NNRC Cup Virtual Series Pro Nitro Buggy

We constantly hear from top drivers how they feel a series of races to determine a champion is a good thing and much needed in RC Racing. This is why we created the NNRC Cup as a virtual series using existing races to show how awesome a series can be.

There have been 4 races in Pro class so far and they are  SIC, DNC, PNB and Silverstate and 4 different winners. Let’s have a look at the last 3 races.

2024 Southern Indoor Championship

The Southern Indoor Championship or SIC as its most commonly known is the first major 1:8 race of the year. This race takes place in Autaugaville Alabama and is the first RaceTime Entertainment race on the circuit. The race attracts all the top drivers this year too AE driver Spencer Rivkin would sit this race out but all the rest of the top drivers in the USA would attend.

SIC provided racing fans with some great racing in all classes and a Pro Nitro Buggy was no different. The SWORKz driver from Texas Brandon Rose would put on a masterclass of driving as he would step up to take his first big win and beat some of the best in the world after the 30 min final. Rose would fend off both Dakotah Phend and Ryan Maifield, the two dominant 1:8 racers over the last  2.5 years, to take an impressive and welcomed victory. Dakotah Phend would settle for 2nd followed by an impressive 3rd for Mason Fuller on his first time out with his SWORKz buggy, Ryan Maifield in 4th and SPARKO’s Tyler Jones in 5th.

It was a great way to kick off the nitro season in the USA and The NNRC Cup!

2024 DIRT NITRO CHALLENGE

The Dirt Nitro Challenge would attract racers from around the world with top drivers from Europe in attendance. SWORKz Driver Brandon Rose went into the DNC the leader in points after his big win at SIC and one of the favorites to win.

UK SWORKz Driver Elliott Boots would take the win at the DNC with David Ronnefalk in 2nd, Phend 3rd, Spencer Rivkin 4th and Joe Bornhorst in 5th. That third place finish for Phend would see him take over the lead in the points after BRose would fall to 2nd in points, Mason Fuller stayed in 3rd, Joe Bornhorst in 4th and Ryan Lutz rounding off the top 5!

PSYCHO NITRO BLAST 2024

Up next on the Pro circuit was the 17th Psycho Nitro Blast held in Tennessee! This race also attracts all the biggest names in American Rc racing and joining in on the fun would be David Ronnefalk making the trip from Sweden. The PNB track was huge this year and challenging but made for great racing as we saw Tekno RC’s Ran Maifield and TLR’s Dakotah Phend dike it out until the last few corners with The Maifield taking the win! Phend would have to settle for 2nd, Seth VanDalen 3rd, Spencer Rivkin 4th and Mason Fuller 5th. Dakotah Phend would hold on to his lead in the points, BRose in 2nd, Maifield moved up to 3rd, Masin Fuller in 4th and Ryan Lutz in 5th.

PNB 2024 FINAL

SILVER STATE 2024

Las Vegas was the next stop on  the list for the 2024 SilverState race which once again saw many top drivers from Europe making the trip over to race with the Americans.

Once again we were treated to some great racing in the Pro Nitro buggy class on a very rough track. SWORKz would win their 3rd big race in 2024 as Juan Carlos Canas or JC3 would dominate the competition in the 45 min final giving him his first nitro buggy win on American soil. Ryan Maifield, Dakotah Phend and Seth Van Dalen would battle it out for 2nd, 3rd & 4th while last year’s SilverState winner the Italian Marco Baruffolo would finish in 5th.

These results would shake up the points  a little bit in the top 3 with Phend still in the lead by 7 points with Ryan Maifield moving up to 2nd, Brandon Rose 3rd, Ryan Lutz 4th and  dropping to 5th in points with Mason Fuller after a 15th place finish at SilverState.

Remember that all the classes have drop races and we think the Pros will get two drops while the sportsman and intermediate classes will get 4 drop races.

Up next for the Pro Class is the ROAR ⅛ Fuel Nationals at HRCR next month and it is also looking like the RC Pro Am will have a enough Top Pro drivers to classify for the Pro Division in the NNRC Cup then of course the Wicked weekend both being held in July !!

l

The points are heating up and Dakotah Phend still leads without having a victory in ⅛ this year. Let us see how the points shake up after the nationals in one month’s time !!

Who do you think will win the NNRC Cup this year ?
